Former Westlife singer joined Ray in studio this morning

The besotted father of three (twin boys Jay and Rocco and newborn daughter Gia) is hosting the 25th Cheerios Childline Concert tomorrow night at The O2, Dublin.

Chatting to Ray about former band mate Kian Egan’s adventure in the ‘I’m A Celeb’ jungle, Nicky told Ray that nothing will faze him and that “Kian will just get stuck in”.

He also joked that since welcoming daughter Gia into the fold last month he’s “never seen so many shades of pink in my life”, and also admitted to Ray that he was “100% hoping for a girl” to join her twin brothers.

Boyzone will open the show, which includes performances from The Wanted, Shane Filan, Conor Maynard, Little Mix and Union J.

Childline, Ireland’s No. 1 children’s charity, hope to receive over €400,000 from this year’s concert. To date, Childline has benefitted to the tune of €4.6 million from the previous concerts, which have been held annually since 1997. Over the years acts such as Robbie Williams, Westlife, The Script, Boyzone, JLS, Girls Aloud, Enrique Iglesias, Ronan Keating, Sugababes, Busted, McFly, The Saturdays and many more have all taken part.

Childline continues to experience record levels of demand for its services. Over 800,000 calls will be received in 2013 and almost half of those calls will go unanswered due to lack of resources.
